Jamaal Magloire’s Toronto Revellers to Present WARRIORS
- April 2014 - The Toronto Revellers, two time Caribbean Carnival Band of the Year, the 2014 carnival season with the launch of their highly anticipated presentation, WARRIORS! event will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the Armenian Community Centre located Hallcrown Place in Scarborough, from 9:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m.
“The People’s Band” will compete in the city’s largest annual parade for their 8th season, under leadership of NBA veteran and Toronto Raptors Basketball Development Consultant and Community Ambassador Jamaal Magloire. Magloire will host the night’s event - along with CP24’s Patricia Jaggernauth, MC Brenton B, and Miami radio personality Giselle D’Wassi One - which will feature costume fashion show that has become one of the most elaborate and spectacular of the The Revellers presentation has evolved beyond a showcase, into a theatrical experience; will also feature music from Toronto’s DJ Jason Chambers (G98.7fm), DJ DOC (105.5fm), and DJ Stylez
“Our theme explores WARRIORS from various eras,” said Magloire. “We have a great team costume designers and creative minds, and we look forward to having a winning band this year.”
The annual band launch is a carnival tradition for each competing organization, as selected and display the year’s costumes to Toronto’s carnival enthusiasts, viewing them for for the season. The band launch is also a celebration of the beginning of the organization’s carnival season, as the production team and costume designers prepare for the summer’s festivities.

Magloire. “I transition from one passion to another, each and every year. I’m honoured the great athletes and staff at the Raptors organization, and I’m pleased that I’m also able to fully enjoy the carnival experience by remaining in Toronto year-round.”
