Nehilet’s Message Is Clear; Get Over It - There Is No Need For Fear
- January 1, 2014 - Too often when the phrase ‘Get Over It’ is uttered an immediate defensive reaction follows. The truth is, “In order to move on and continue life, we really have to get over things that hurt us,” shared Nehilet Blackman. Nehilet through her Reggae and Soca infused track ‘Get Over It’ encourages you to move on. The track which is certain to resonate in the hearts and minds of many is relatable in all aspects; music and message.

As 2014 commences, many are willing to commit to resolutions which would make them more comfortable. Others will assess their mistakes and seek to become better and more productive individuals. Whatever your struggle, regardless of the hurt you have faced or the negative decisions you have made, it is possible to ‘Get Over It.’

Nehilet is no stranger to the entertainment industry, being the daughter of the Late great Ras Shorty. With positivity and religion serving as the backbone of all her endeavors, her music has been accepted throughout the world. With another powerful track to add to her catalogue, ‘Get Over It’ promises to be a track with a difference.

Written and produced by her youngest sibling, Isaac Blackman of Jamoo Studios, Nehilet hopes that listeners are able to “Identify with and understand the message.” She admits that some of the items covered in this song are her personal experiences saying “I know for a fact that I need to Get Over It.” Her advice is clear; Cross over the walls in your life, overcome and continue moving in the right direction.
