Montserrat Poised for Jaycees & Caribbean Culture Pageants 2013

Miss Montserrat, Kadija Furlonge is quietly confident with her preparations for two of the most recognised pageants in our Region-Antigua’s Jaycees and Miss Caribbean Culture Queen Show in Nevis.    Kadija’s background is that of Montserrat’s Royality. Her mother, Miss Estelle Furlong captured the title of Festival Queen in 2000 and her father,  Earl ‘Hustler’ Brown is one of Montserrat’s  most popular Calypso Kings.




Who will be the Caribbean’s Finest?

Eleven young ladies will vie for the title of Miss Jaycees in Antigua on  the evening of 2nd August, with twelve will compete for the crown of Miss Caribbean Culture 2013 in Nevis on  August 5th.  A $200 return  ferry service is being considered to  travel between Montserrat and Antigua from 2nd  - 6th August (subject to numbers) in support of Montserrat’s participation in Antigua’s Carnival.   Interested persons  are asked to contact Montserrat Tourist Board- Culture Division  on  491-8555 by Monday 29th  July.

Additionally, Miss Caribbean Culture 2013  will be streamed live online  at  Cost $13 EC or $5 US.   You can purchase  tickets for the live streaming locally from: Ashok’s Supermarket, Beni’s Jewellery, Nadine’s Grocery, King’s Supermarket, Aravins Supermarket, Peoples Mini Mart.
