The Annual Detroit Caribbean Cultural Festival is set for August 10-12, 2012
The Caribbean Cultural and Carnival Organization (CCCO) will present the Detroit Caribbean Cultural Festival on August 10 – 12,
2012. After numerous years at Hart Plaza, this event, formerly known as the Detroit Caribbean International Festival, will be moving to the newly renovated New Center
Park, located on the southwest corner of Second Avenue and West Grand Boulevard. The location will allow the festival to remain in the downtown area, and still be able to
bring the sites and sounds of the Caribbean to the people of Detroit.

In keeping with tradition, the festival is open to all, and will bring live performances from local and international artists, flavorful and authentic Caribbean food, souvenirs, and activities for the entire family to enjoy. This year will be extraordinary as this cultural celebration will be commemorating the 50th year of independence for both Caribbean nations of Trinidad & Tobago and Jamaica. Special festivities are planned to celebrate these historical events.
