Jamplified Records Celebrates Success of Trueversation with Queen Ifrica and Damian Marley
Rickman Warren and the Jamplified Records team celebrate with Queen Ifrica and Damian ‘Jr. Gong’ Marley on the success of the song “Trueversation.”

Taken from Queen Ifrica’s album ‘Climb,’ the track was an instant success when released in January, 2017.  The video, whose visuals tell the story of a couple meeting in an art gallery, and eventually falling in love, get to that place in life because of their conscious shift from a ‘con’versation to a ‘true’versation.

The origins of the song “Trueversation” is found in the Kingston, Jamaica based recording studio’s of Jamplified Records which was founded by Rickman Warren.  Warren, and his deep passion for all genres of music, took to his piano in Studio A, and began playing the melody of the song.  “As I began playing, I could hear Queen Ifrica’s voice on this riddim.  I contacted her team and the end result was beautiful.  We knew this track would be a good piece of canvas for Ifrica to add her sonic art.”

Queen Ifrica spoke about “Trueversation” during a recent interview with L3 Magazine (the interview was published on March 20th).  “The lyrics to the song came from the melody.  As soon as I heard the riddim, I knew what I had to sing and Damian was the perfect compliment.  I love what Jamplified did with the production.”

With “Trueversation” doing well in major markets such as the US, Canada and the UK, it comes as no surprise that the album ‘Climb’ has charted at #1 on the Billboard Chart for Best Reggae Album.  Fans are sharing and streaming Queen Ifrica far and wide, increasing calls for a GRAMMY submission for 2018 Reggae Recording of the Year.  Of this possibility Warren says “that would be an honor, and fitting for Ifrica’s excellent body of work!”

‘Climb’ is currently available online at VPRecords.com and all VP Records retail outlets.  “Trueversation” is available for stream on Spotify, Tidal, Google Play and all leading digital outlets.
